In cold-winter regions storm doors block drafts,
minimize energy loss and add an extra measure of security.
They provide protection to the exterior door, and, when that
door is open, allow more controlled ventilation and light.
And they can be helpful at keeping pests out and pets in.
When choosing a storm door, one of your first choices will be
the type and size of window and screen system.
Lakeview Doors offers several different types and styles to meet
your needs.

A
full-height glass panel is best if you want to display your front
door or maximize light and views through the storm door. |
More
common is the mid-view type of door that has a solid
panel at the bottom third of the door; this gives you
more ventilation control because you can open or close
each section independently. |
A
high-view door is similar, but the glazed section only extends to
about half the door's height. |

Preventative Maintenance Tips |
|
Storm
and screen doors sometimes develop warped or
damaged frames. To prevent problems caused
by excessive force, keep hinges oiled and
check that the latches connect properly. Be
sure to keep door closers adjusted and
working smoothly to prevent the screen or
storm door from banging back and forth. |
